“The Mayor” of Landon Road,  Robert W. Landon died from mesothelioma. He served U.S during the second world war 2. He used to work in the cargo ships, engine rooms etc and this could have been the reason for exposure to asbestos. It is widely used in military ships, but is extremely harmful to inhale the dust.
